Subject: NetWare 386 v3.0 and v3.1 - Two Token-Ring LANs

PROBLEM: Here is some information that we found with NetWare 386 v3.0
and v3.1 and loading two Token-Ring cards. With v3.0,
customers may get this error message:
"Token-Ring adapter did not exist at port A24".
Solution: The answer is in the setting of the 16/4 cards. The option
of setting the first card to option 0 and the second card to
option 2 will fail. The setting we found that worked was
as follows:
Lan A:IRQ=2 ROM=CC00 and this sets RAM at D800
switch #9 set to off (this selects the primary card)
Lan B:IRQ=3 ROM=C800 and this sets ram at D400
switch #9 set to on (alternate)
There may be other combinations that will work which we
didn't test.
When loading two Token-Ring cards with v3.1, customers may
get this error message:
"ERROR: frame type is already loaded"
This occurs when you enter LOAD TOKEN then another LOAD
TOKEN. The correct statement is LOAD TOKEN PORT=A20 then
LOAD TOKEN PORT=A24. The first port assignment is assumed
but the second must be specified.
